Last week was fantastic for earning beer money income. I raked in a little over $80 dollars and scooped up another share of O as well as another share of GAIN. I also hit the $100 dollar a year goal I set for 2023 and it’s only March! If I can hit $200 dollars a year in another 3 months I will be very surprised, but it’s something to aim for.
After the research I conducted last week I think I’ve further refined my goals for this portfolio. I still want to hit $100 dollars a month as quickly as possible, but I want it to be sustainable. I have speculative equities at the moment, but I want to start expanding the portfolio with TIPS, corporate and emerging market bonds, a couple closed end funds, and funds of individual stocks that provide sector diversity with stable dividends. Diversification is the only way I can see to create a sustainable income portfolio without being able to predict the future.
