Beer Money Sites

The Beer Money Sites

I hit my goal of over $50 dollars last week and picked up a share of BST and a share of PEY. This week is looking a little rough again as I have been swamped at work. But, as long as I can pick up another share of a stock, I’ll be satisfied.

I wanted to dive into the sites I’m using a little bit because while there are plenty of opportunities online to make extra money, the particular kind I use are easy for me to jump in and out of whenever I have time.

I’ll list them by how lucrative they are for me. Below is a chart that shows how much I earned each month since I started tracking the data.

Prolific

Category: Surveys
Payment: PayPal

Prolific is absolutely my number one earner right now. It has plenty of decent paying surveys. There’s an extension called Prolific Assistant made by Prolific to alert you when there’s new surveys, but I just usually leave a tab open. I hear there’s a waiting list to get an application approved now, but I was lucky enough to get in a few years ago. If you do get in, I recommend filling out all of the demographic information. My anecdotal evidence suggests it has lead to getting more surveys. As with all of these sites, do take your time and put in quality work. And one other thing – they pay in GBP vs USD, so there’s a conversion fee on PayPal if you’re based in the US, but it’s not that big of a deal. Since I started tracking my earnings I’ve received almost $1000 dollars.

Amazon Mechanical Turk

Category: Tasks
Payment: Direct Deposit, Amazon Gift Card

Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is the original as far as I’m concerned. It’s something I started with years ago and have used it off and on throughout the years. I believe there’s also a wait list for this now as well and it certainly seems a little less lucrative now that there are other options, but it’s still solid. Since I began tracking my earnings I’ve made around $300 dollars, but I’ve made thousands since I first began using it. My one big tip for MTurk is to install the Mturk Suite extension to track and find tasks or HITs. There’s a few others and certainly some decent guide’s online, but scripts are really necessary to get the most out of this platform. I know if I really need to grind it out I can turn to MTurk.

CloudResearch Connect

Category: Surveys
Payment: PayPal

CloudResearch Connect is new to the game, but aside from a little hiccup with payments due to a PayPal issue, has not been doing a bad job. I’ve made around $100 dollars on this since I began tracking and using this platform. There’s fewer surveys than Prolific, but like Prolific you don’t really need scripts and the surveys are generally worth the pay.

SerpClix

Category: Tasks
Payment: PayPal

I like SerpClix because it’s just a browser extension that runs in the background and when a task pops up, it’s super quick and easy. You click a link, paste a search term, then open a website. It usually takes a few seconds and they pay 5 to 10 cents per task, but over a month it really adds up. They only pay at the end of the month, but it’s a nice bonus for what feels like doing almost nothing. I’ve earned around $30 dollars on this one.

25Clicks

Category: Tasks
Payment: PayPal

This site is very similar to SerpClix except you get tasks via text message or email. As is probably evident from the site design, it’s extremely simple and straightforward. The other great thing about 25Clicks is that you get paid out weekly. I’ve made about $10 dollars with this. The notifications are so non-intrusive that sometimes I forget I even got a task.

Google Opinion Rewards

Category: Surveys
Payment: PayPal, Google Play Gift Card

Here’s another app I’ve used on and off throughout the years. These are very quick surveys, but they are few and far between. I’ve only earned around $3 dollars since I began tracking my income in November. The other caveat is I think they only pay out via PayPal to iPhone or iOS users. I think Android users are only compensated in Google Play Store credit. In any case, when the surveys are available here they take no time at all and once you reach $2 dollars you can cash out.

Coinbase Learning Rewards

Category: Tasks
Payment: Crypto Rewards, Direct Deposit

These are extremely short slideshows followed by quizzes about new crypto coins or tokens being released. They do it to promote the coin. They take a minute or two and then you get rewarded in the token you’re being quizzed on. If you’re just trying to make a quick $10 dollars and haven’t done any of these before then they’re great. New quizzes don’t show up too often, but I’ve made a decent amount with them over the years. The good news is that this is through Coinbase, which makes it easy to immediately sell them and withdraw the cash to your bank account.
