Well, I started out the New Year with a bang – straight out of the gate I hit my monthly income goal within the first week. I’ve got to take a step back to appreciate that, especially because self-motivating is so tough during these winter months. I did find some zen in creating new tracking spreadsheets for the year – they’re boring, so why not make them pretty?
I also took some time to set some goals.
I want to get 12 professional certifications this year, read 12 books, make more time for friends, and check up on my health. This whole passive income project is a fun game, but it’s good to remember that it’s just money and I can’t take it with me when I die. Though maybe that’s where the true motivation lies. Maybe building something to take back my time while I’m here is the real game.
In any case, tax season is upon us and I am not looking forward to it. Dealing with this side income is going to be a headache, but as I often say to myself – more money is more money. With that, I’ll leave you with some of my favorite quotes about money.
