The Housekeeping

The plan is working. I haven’t hit all of my income goals, but I’ve been very successful with others. I probably won’t earn $1,000 dollars churning. I definitely won’t earn $2,000 doing online surveys and tasks this year. A far cry from last year where a substantial amount of my beer money income (outside of my day job) was earned from online surveys and tasks.

That’s okay. By the end of this year I will have earned more than $10,000 trading stocks. I wasn’t expecting that. I couldn’t even conceive of that when I began this site and this project. But it worked for me and I know if I want to, I can continue to earn more by falling back on what worked before. If I have more time, I may do that. I do expect that I will continue to look for additional ways to earn more.

Time has also become a factor. I know I will hit my ultimate goal of $100 dollars per month now. It seems almost inevitable. It seemed impossible when I began. So now, as my circumstances have changed, I do consider how much time I invest as well. I still feel like I’m grinding, just in a different way.

As I approach and exceed my ultimate goal, I also expect I will exit some positions, such as PSEC, NVDY, and likely GOF and veer more toward boring, lower yield, dividend aristocrats and kings or growth stocks. I may then even begin to slowly optimize for taxes. I think once I hit $100 per month in dividends a little housekeeping will be in order.
